Purpose: The Cropping tool defines the exact area of each facade that will be used for elevation processing and later panelization. After uploading the elevation plan, this tool allows to draw cropping boundaries around the portion of the facade to be use. Each elevation North, South, East, and West can be cropped individually to ensure the model reflects the correct surfaces of the building. By setting these boundaries accurately, it provide the system with the clean facade segments required for correct openings, materials, mouldings, and final panel layout.
Add Elevation (1): Click Add Elevation in the Elevations panel. This opens the New Elevation dialog, where the elevation is created and prepared for editing. Adding the elevation is mandatory before any cropping actions can be performed.
Cropping Area (2): This is the adjustable cropping box placed directly on the elevation image. Resize and reposition it to capture only the facade area wanted to include in the elevation, removing any extra surroundings or irrelevant drawing details. Place the mouse on any black dot in the cropping area, then right‑click and hold, and drag inward or outward to adjust the crop until the desired area is reached.
Select (3): Activates the Select tool, which lets pick and adjust the current cropping box (2). With this tool, the crop area can be move or refine without creating a new one.
Sub-menu (4): Opens additional management actions for the selected elevation:
Rename – Change the elevation’s label.
Duplicate – Create a duplicate elevation with the same settings.
Delete – Remove the elevation from the project.
These options helps manage your elevation list efficiently.
Duplicate (5): Creates an exact copy of the selected elevation entry. This is helpful when reusing an elevation setup or create variations without starting from scratch.
Update Panelization (6): Applies all cropping changes to the system. After modifying or adjusting the crop area, use this button to ensure the panelization process uses the updated facade selection.
