Projection
To project the facade onto an elevation, you’ll use a total of 5 left clicks:
- To begin, click the Projection button, then mouse over a level containing the leftmost part of the elevation. It should appear as an opaque yellow block with an identifying blue line on the left side. (1st) Left-click once to set the left side of the facade.
- Note: You do not need to click on the blue line, you can click inside the yellow box.
- Now mouse over a level with the rightmost part of the elevation. You’ll see the identifying blue line on the right side. (2nd) Left-click once to set the right side of the facade.
- Next mouse over the lowest floor of the building, the blue line will be at the bottom. (3rd) Left click once to set the bottom of the facade.
- Now you will mouse over to stretch the projection to the highest point of the building and you'll see the blue line at the top. (4th) Left click once to set the highest point of the facade.
- At this point, there is one last left click to set the projection. Before the last (5th) left click, you can use the mouse wheel to push/pull the projection if parts of the building are placed back/forward. When you are satisfied with the facade projection, make your final (5th) left click.
- Note: When you add your first projection, it is best practice to check and make sure your floor lines line up with the slab.
- Each of these steps may take a moment to process through the 3D model.
- Note: The “cropped faces” error may be resolved if you reset the projections.
- Workaround: If, for some reason, a projection is continuously not displayed on the building, you can create “sub elevations” to project to a specific area.
- Note: You may need to delete/re-create elevations for Cropping & Projection.
