Purpose – this is where the individual elevations or facades are created.
- These facades are projected onto the floorplan frame to create a 3D model. This is accomplished by using the exterior elevations as a guide to identify and mark all openings such as windows & doors, unique moldings, and areas that will not be panelized.
- Add new PDF - when you first select Elevation, you'll be prompted to create your first elevation, where you’ll upload the pdf by searching or drag and drop.
- Note: The name will auto-populate as the name of the pdf or you can type it in. If a pdf has more than one elevation/facade you'd like to use, you’ll want to edit the name in the tab.
- Additional elevations can be added using the plus button in the top right corner. You will then be prompted to “Upload new file” or you can “Use existing file.”
- Note: You’ll need one elevation per side or projection. If an elevation is not provided, the Panelizer will fill in the building and mark these “fill in” areas as Hidden Faces.
- If the scale is different than the floorplans, that is okay, the elevation/projection will “stretch”.
Cropping
- Use the control points to define the facade at its outer edges.
- Note: The Panelizer recognizes “air".
- Note: You can change the elevation at any time by using the control points again.
- You may have more than one elevation on a page in which case you will identify one and the rest will be grayed out.
