Superpanels amalgamate walls together that are the same type. Walls, with a common type, along the same facade, regardless of what storey they are on, become one Superpanel.
Each superpanels can be broken into individual panels within the Superpanel. The panels break all the Superpanel components, so the panels are independent.
- Click on the Panels tab.
- Ensure the current location is set to Ground Floor. The current Building Location is listed in the upper right of the screen.
- In the Object Properties panel, select the first superpanel in the list.
This is the first wall that was drawn. An elevation view of the Superpanel is shown in the display area.
Inserting Panel Breaks
- Select the Insert Vertical Panel Break icon
under the Panels tab or by selecting Panels> Insert Vertical Panel Break.
- Looking down at the Status Bar, it prompts for a Basepoint.
- Left-click on the panel’s upper left corner to use it as the base point for specifying the panel break.
- Move the cursor to the right, and dimensions will appear to indicate the distance from the basepoint. In the lower left, the Commander area will also display the distance and await input. Type 2000 and hit Enter.
The first break is indicated as a red line running vertically through the panel.
- Select Panels> Insert Vertical Panel Break or select the Insert Vertical Panel Break icon

- Left-click on the panel’s upper right corner to use it as the base point for specifying the panel break.
- Move the cursor to the left, and dimensions will appear to indicate the distance from the basepoint. In the lower left, the Commander area will also display the distance and await input. Type 2000 and hit Enter.
- Select the Insert Horizontal Panel Break icon
under the Panels tab or by selecting Panels> Insert Horizontal Panel Break.
- Looking down at the Status Bar, it is prompting for a Basepoint.
- Left-click on the panel’s upper left corner to use it as the base point for specifying the panel break.
- Move the cursor downwards, and dimensions will appear to indicate the distance from the basepoint. In the lower left, the Commander area will also display the distance and await input. Type 1350 and hit Enter.
The Superpanel is now broken into 6 panels. You will see them listed in the Object Properties panel to the right. If you select a panel the display area will update to display the highlighted panel.
- Left-click to select the next Superpanel in the list.
- Select the Insert Custom Panel Break icon
under the Panels tab or by selecting Panels> Insert Custom Panel Break.
- Looking down at the Status Bar, it prompts for a Basepoint.
- Left-click on the panel’s upper left corner to use it as the base point for specifying the panel break.
- Move the cursor to the right, and dimensions will appear to indicate the distance from the basepoint. In the lower left, the Commander area will display the distance and await input. Type 1000 and hit Enter.
- Move the cursor downwards and type 2000, and hit Enter.
- In the lower right of the screen, click on Ortho to disable it.
- You can now freely move the cursor at any angle. Left-click on the inset corner, as indicated in the following diagram.
- Right-click and select Finish.
