You can insert a variety of doors with point-and-click simplicity. Because doors are intelligent elements, they fit into walls and automatically become part of the wall. However, you can edit doors separately from the walls that contain them.
- Select Insert > Doors or select the Building toolbar tab and click the Doors button
.
- Select the Commercial Door folder in the catalog and then the Commercial Entry Door. Move the cursor onto the drawing screen area.
- Right-click and select Center on Wall.
- Place the cursor on the short vertical wall as indicated in the following diagram and left-click when it is centered on the wall.
- Right-click and select Finish.
- Select Insert > Windows, or select the Building toolbar tab and click the Windows icon
.
- Select the Commercial Windows folder in the catalog and then the 2250×1500 Three Pane Aluminum Window. Move the cursor onto the drawing screen area.
- Right-click and select Center on Wall.
- Place the cursor on the front horizontal wall as indicated in the following diagram and left-click when it is centered on the wall.
- Place the cursor to the left of the previously inserted window. It will find the center point of the remaining section of the wall. Left-click to insert another window.
- Place the cursor to the right of the first inserted window. It will find the center point of the remaining section of the wall. Left-click to insert another window.
- Continue centering windows on each wall until each wall has windows in it as illustrated in the following diagram. When finished, right click, and select Finish.
13. Save your work. You will use it in subsequent lessons.
