Scope of Services
The service description for the StoPanel Data Hub software from version 2.0 is valid until replaced by a new service description. The following service description contains detailed information on the features available with the StoPanel Data Hub.
General Information about the product
StoPanel Data Hub is a web application that can connect APIs to extract data from one system, transform them and load them to another system (ETL process). The prerequisite for this is always that both - the source and the target system - can be addressed with protocols provided by the StoPanel Data Hub.
Supported Protocols
- Inbound data: Http(s), Ftp, SAP RFC
- Outbound data: Http(s), Ftp, SAP RFC, MQTT
Technical Requirements
- CPU: Dual Core 2 GHz or faster
- RAM: min 8 GB
- Disk space: min 500 MB (HDD or SSD)
- OS: Windows 10 or newer or macOS 10.13 or newer
- Web Browser: Current Version of Google Chrome
- Internet: Broadband Internet connection
Functionalities
Flows and Processors
ETL processes in StoPanel Data Hub are organized in flows. A flow defines how to extract data from a source system, how to transform them and how to load them into a target system. Each step of a flow is called processor.
In the flows overview you see all flows for which you have at least “View” permissions and their status (running, error, paused) in a filterable list.
Flows can be created, duplicated, downloaded, uploaded, edited and deleted. For the last two ones you need “Edit” permissions for the corresponding flows.
Flows can be triggered based on regular intervals or via http request (webhook).
Processors can be created, duplicated, edited, deleted, and connected (in order to create a flow).
Data Transformation
In a processor you can access data from the preceding processors and transform them by using
- Text, math, logical constants: empty String, empty Array, empty Object, space, pi, random, true, false, null, timestamp, date
- Mathematical operations: Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, Division, Modulus, Comparison (greater than, less than), ceil, floor, round, AND, OR
- Functions: Text Functions (length, lower, replace, substring, trim, upper), Control Functions (if..else), Array functions (add, array length, contains, deduplicate, merge, remove, reverse, shuffle, sum)
- Date & Time: parsing, calculating and formatting of dates and times
- Flow variables: access to variables that were filled in preceding processors or in other flows (global variables)
Flow statistics
The automatically created (and updated) Flow Statistics provide insights into the performance of a flow (runs: total/failed, run times: fastest/average/slowest, network traffic: inbound/outbound).
Flow Runs
In the “Runs” tab you see the recent Flow Runs. For each run in this list you can review how the flow was configured at runtime and what data was transferred.
Flow Versions
For each “Save” of a flow a new version is created. Changes can be logged and you can jump back to a recent version.
Testing and Activation
Flows are only triggered when they are activated. When a flow should be paused it can be deactivated.
Changes can be tested before activation by using the “Run Once” button.
Error Log
Errors can be logged by using a Logger Processor and connecting it to the processor where an error may occur. The connection has to be set on “Route On Failure”.
Templates
In the flows overview there are templates. These are flow that cannot be edited but can be duplicated in order to create a flow that is similar to a solved use case (e.g. number of StoPanel Operator users to a REST API).
Documentation and Support
There is a central documentation for the StoPanel Data Hub and context based information (question mark). In case of a support request users can access the StoPanel Support Center by calling up the website https://stopanel.zendesk.com/hc.
Services not owed and right to refuse service
Services that are not provided within the scope of user support or only on the basis of a separate agreement by Sto Building Solutions GmbH:
• Individual enhancements and/or improvements to the Software
• Individual setting changes, setting creation
• Clarification of questions that are usually dealt with in the context of training courses
• Employee trainings
• Database or core services to optimize speed
• Data backup or data recovery
• Network analysis
• Migration services (e.g. data conversions)
• Security services
• On-site support
• Hardware support
Support for third-party applications, such as the Microsoft Windows or Microsoft Office product family, as long as these are not questions or problems that specifically arise in connection with the use of the licensed software.
Setup User Access
In order to create and edit data flows StoPanel Data Hub users have to log in with username and password. The username is the customer's company email address. For getting access to the Support Center also a user has to be created.
The creation of both users can be triggered by the customer via email (from the company account) to support@stopanel.zendesk.com.
The customer will get an invitation for using the StoPanel Data Hub and the StoPanel Support Center.
Service Packages
On the basis of StoPanel Data hub there are preconfigured service packages available, which are subject to individual offers.
